Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

You will be responsible for building and developing solid business-to-business relationships with the referral sources and will participate and lead the internal sales efforts as well. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

· Develop business-to-business relationships with the referral sources that would provide strong and steady pipeline of referrals

· Prospect for new referral sources on regular basis

· Implement, monitor and promote resident referral program 

· Collect data from competition and make comparative quarterly analysis

· Identify new partners/businesses in the area for marketing purposes

· Analyze our strengths and weaknesses compared to the competition and come up with suggestions

· Assist in developing and/or implementing the Marketing Action Plan

· Assure that occupancy and sales are meeting and/or exceeding the goals

· Maintain a flexible schedule to work different hours

· Attend local Chambers of Commerce meetings and events for marketing purposes

· Based on local circumstances, may conduct community tours with prospects

· Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university and a minimum of 3 years related sales/account management experience and/or training (preferably in senior living) 

Skills/Experience

· Must be passionate about sales and marketing

· Outstanding communications skills (written and verbal)

· Strong follow up and closing skills

· Exceptional interpersonal skills

· Must have proven leadership & teamwork skills

· Must have proven data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills

Travel

Employee must be able to travel 80% of the time.
